Our Rob's B-Side Project hopes!

Our very own, talented local musician Robert Adams, aka ‘Rezzo Bob’ has been coming to QM Studios on Thursdays since 2013. He initially joined in the music jamming sessions that were running at the studio to get back into playing music again, and has gone on to attend local open stage events performing guitar and singing as a result.

I had previously been a bass guitarist with the band ‘Four Score’ who entered the Battle of the Bands in 2004 and came 2nd in the Originals category. QM’s J@M sessions were a great way to get back into performing again. The band ‘The Rock Dogs’ came out of the sessions, with Pat Kimber, Dom McMahon & Jodie Munday, and Adam Gellibrand and Kay Whiteley from the studio and we played at the Garden Music Festival for two years in a row.”

However having completed a music production degree course at Leeds College of Music in 2008 studying modules in electronic music, electro-acoustic composition and song writing, he was also inspired to start using the QM Control Room to work on his own original compositions.

“I call my productions by the name ‘Rezzo Bob’. It’s mainly electronic music and experimental but contains elements of other music. I like to use QM Studios for mixing my own tracks because the facilities there are excellent.

Rob recently entered a remix competition called B-Side Project. The project runs annually, based around fusing music and providing artists with promotional opportunities. Industry judges listen to the entries and cast their scores, however winners are also decided upon by public vote and the number of likes the track gets on Soundcloud.

Why not have a listen and vote for him by giving him a 'like'!

Good luck Rezzo!
